@ A C E H O T E L

I started at Ace Hotel as a fledgling Editor, curating our digital presence -- setting voice, creating content and overseeing brand storytelling and community engagement.

During my tenure in the Dark Arts, I grew our web presence from around 100 followers scattered across platforms to over half a million followers in existing and developing channels, at a growth rate of over 3070%. Within a month of launching our original content-laden blog in January 2010, the site ranked higher in visits and sentiment ratings than any other blog in our com set, surpassing the web ratings for major brand websites like Levi's, Coca-Cola and Ford Motors, as well as proximal hospitality brands such as The Standard, Hoxton, Michelberger and Kimpton.

Growing our brand primarily through organic, in-bound content modes, I guided the Ace Hotel creative team in garnering an unprecedented breadth and variety of demographic through intuitive, honest and inspired marketing. With close to close to four million page views per month, half of all our traffic was from new visitors gathered from the ether through our dynamic, engaged and intuitive content strategy.

INSTAGRAM

Ace's fastest-growing platform by far -- Instagram is the best of most social worlds with an opportunity to present the Ace aesthetic in a candid, intuitive manner while marketing without hitting their audience over the head with a hard sell.

The much maligned and, for good reason, merely tolerated Twitter became a strong lifeline between Ace's overwhelmingly positive feedback (and some curve balls, too), and the creative team at Atelier -- a place to share breadcrumbs of things that inspire, and to stay in touch with the lovers and haters.

FACEBOOK / ACES

Facebook: sometimes funner to use when you're a brand than when you're a person: announcements, found images, articles and ephemera abound.
